This is not an official DC37 campaign. Instead, this is a bottom-up effort to make sure our union hears directly rank & file workers like ourselves.
$30 per Hour Minimum Wage: To ensure that all DC37 union members are paid enough to live in the city we serve.
Zohran Mamdani called for a $30/hr minimum wage for NYC during his campaign. We are holding him to his campaign promise!

6.5% yearly raises for 5 years: To ensure that our raises outpace rising rent, groceries, and cost-of-living.
Restore inflation-adjusted salaries. Years of low raises have left City workers behind.
This is winnable! In 2023, public-sector nurses at Health & Hospitals won a 37% raise over 5.5 years! This win came from rank-and-file nurses organizing from the bottom-up.
Save work flexibility: Telework and compressed-schedules should be a right for all!
Telework and compressed-schedules should be rights that are codified in our contract, not privileges that can be revoked by a manager.
Public Money for Public Service: Outsourcing work to private companies for huge sums takes money out of our own paychecks.

Private contracts and city-funded non-profits overcharge the city and have corrupted its budget. When the City outsources work to private companies, and private contractors perform the same functions, it takes money from our paychecks and eats away at our union’s bargaining power.
Reform Civil Service: The civil service system should ensure fair pay, promotional opportunities, and job security.
Supercharge OMB hiring, raise, and promotion approvals.
Offer more civil service exams and work with unions to update titles in order to meet the City's needs.
City workers experience slow hiring times and promotions, infrequent civil service exams, and pay disparities between titles. It can take six months between a job interview and a job offer for a candidate because of OMB’s slow pace. The city loses candidates in that process while agencies are not even staffed to the levels that they are budgeted.
